Rising country artist Kenya Reese officially released her highly anticipated debut album, Trailblazer, today, Friday, September 5, 2025. An album that fuses tradition with innovation, Trailblazer is both a personal statement and a bold artistic vision. “Trailblazer is an album that truly has something for everyone,” Reese shares. “From traditional country to ‘90s vibes, to today’s modern edge, each song comes straight from my heart. Every lyric reflects who I am, where I come from, and my deep love for the country way of life.” With themes ranging from chasing dreams and heartbreak to resilience and freedom, Reese invites listeners to connect deeply and find their own story in her songs. What sets Trailblazer apart is its dual-format structure - each track includes both a fresh, modern studio version and an alternate version recorded through an Otari MTR-90 II 24-track analog tape machine, giving the songs a warm, vinyl-era authenticity. “I’m an old soul,” Reese says. “I’ve always had a deep love for the history of country music, and I wanted to honor that while still pushing forward with something new.” Recorded at the prestigious Dark Horse Studios in Tennessee, the project captures live, emotionally raw performances from a dream team of musicians. The album features contributions from Grammy Award-winning engineer Dave Hagen, executive producer and co-writer Ben Calhoun (CITIZEN WAY), and an all-star band including Andy Gibson, Sam Berce, CJ Singer, Mike Malinin (Goo Goo Dolls), Jake Clayton, and Michael Hughes - all of whom have worked with country legend Tanya Tucker.
